I think blogging met my need to stay current - being up on latest computer know-how and reading current views and news. It also met my need to write. I had tried journals in the past, but never kept it up. I love blogging and I have made good blogger friends.
Thanks bag blog, readers, you should vist bag blogs she is a wonderful painter.

Why? Good question!
I find that it fills my need to proclaim my existence, however pathetic, to the world.
Maybe we should relabel blogging as,Written Exhibitionism.
Additionally, it's an excellent way for friends and family to keep in touch and updated on what's going on in your world.
unkawill,
Wow you let your friends and family read your blog.
Shelly
Ah, good question, indeed. What started as a "friends and family" kinda thing (unkawill!) grew into a daily activity. The best I can say now, after nearly two years of largely meaningless scribblings and ramblings, is that writing and the associated research/reading is good mental exercise. The blog also lends structure to a largely unstructured sort of life, what with no job, no wife/girlfriend, etc., etc..
That's what I think today, anyway. If you asked again next week it would (probably) change!
Buck Pennington,
It's not meaningless if we are willing to read it. I had a great time rummaging through your blog..
