Finally home from San Diego.. brought the cold and flu home with me, this just sucks, I can't seem to shake it. Also who ordered the frigid weather in San Diego. It was not above 50 the whole time, and poured rain on Friday... Glad to be home and in my own bed.
The graduation was very nice... When they pinned that SWCC pin on him I was so proud... What an accomplishment, you just don't realize what he did until you see it first hand. The Navy Special Warfare division is wonderful.. They were really educational in helping us understand what our son will be going through, types of deployment, what to expect, what not to expect. He still has months of training before the word deployment enters our vocabulary, so I have some time to adjust. I am amazed that they swim in that nasty San Diego Bay, I am surprised they all don't catch something extremely nasty from that water.... It's the nurse/mom thing...
I met some wonderful parents of some great men. It will be nice to stay in touch.. Maybe between all of us we will get a full story...I thought my son doesn't talk, I seem to have more info the most parents...
It's funny, I was more emotional when he finished boot camp. I see how happy and adjusted he is, and so excited to get started... Maybe it will hit me later, but right now I am just glad he has graduated and in his car headed to his new base...
